WWE: Paul Heyman is a big fan of Akira Tozawa
As we all know, Paul Heyman, as Executive Director, has control over Monday Night Raw, so it’s up to him to decide which superstars deserve a push and which don’t.
Heyman himself always knew which superstars to push and which weren’t, and lately Paul Heyman in Raw has been very interested in Ricochet, Aleister Black, Apollo Crews, but also Akira Tozawa.
Well, the Japanese ex of “205 Live” would actually be a “student” of Paul Heyman, who would have been behind his initiative in the past few weeks, in which we saw him fight with a higher frequency than before.
Although Akira Tozawa’s appearances weren’t worth so many wins, his eager presence on the screen is a sign that Paul Heyman is interested in him. After all, Akira Tozawa has been cruiserweight live since 205 and now in the tournament that will determine the cruiserweight champion at NXT, and has always shown above-average skill and agility in the ring.
We’ll see if it’s just a straw or if we’ll see Akira Tozawa in action over the next few weeks in Raw and in the cruiserweight NXT tournament.
