The Antminer S19 was sold out within 24 hours!
The first round of sales of the Bitmain Antminer S19 was completed in just 24 hours. Yes, the Antminer S19 is out of stock and there is controversy behind this sale. We can’t believe it!
After a long month of waiting, mining giant Bitmain announced via Twitter account yesterday that device sales would begin. First only for China and later for other countries.
Why is the Antminer S19 exhausted in less than 24 hours?
Let us remember that this mining machine was classified as the “future of mining”. And this latest ASIC model has two different versions:
- First, we have the Antminer S19, which can generate a hash rate of 95 terahashes per second (TH / s) with an energy efficiency of 4.5 ± 5% joules per terahash (J / TH). This model costs $ 2,180.
- Secondly, we have the Antminer S19 Pro, which can break down to a hash rate of 110 TH / s or 105 TH / s, while its energy efficiency is 29.5 ±% 5 J / TH. This model costs $ 2,920.
In this way, the new models make the old ones look outdated. And the S19 are certainly the most powerful Bitmain mining platform at the moment.
Therefore, it is obvious that the stock didn’t last long and the Antminer S19 was completely sold out.
What is the problem?
One of the most interesting aspects of the S19 and S19 Pro models is the energy efficiency they offer, an element that is currently indispensable for miners.
Keep in mind that Bitcoin (BTC) is about to be cut in half and miners will have to try to fight for a lower reward. Obviously, this is precisely why Bitmain knows that the company has decided to announce the sale of the new versions last month.
And which miner doesn’t want an Antminer S19? In other words, a much higher hashrate is not only energy efficient, it doesn’t require too many to extract a single BTC.
It was therefore predictable that the Antminer S19 would not be in stock. The problem is that those who have managed to purchase their valuable equipment will have to wait until May 11th and 20th to get it and will have to remember the situation we are going through.
Yes, here is a big problem. And exactly as described in CryptoTrend, the halving of Bitcoin is currently planned for May 12. As a result, Bitmain’s estimated S19 shipping data has completely angered the mining community.
The anger has prompted some users to point out that this could be part of Bitmain’s strategy. And it could have chosen delivery dates so that they could take down their next generation ASICs without any competition before halving takes place.
“”May 11 shipping. I wonder why you chose that date, Lol. I thought they said they wouldn’t use them before they sent them off. Or make sure those you have to yourself make the most of it before shipping“” expressed via his Twitter account Jason Urgo, CEO of Social Blade.
The Antminer S19 is sold out and Bitmain customers are rather disappointed. At the moment, Bitmain has made no statement about it.
